The following is the selected list of the clients that our office represented in employment court proceedings or provided legal consultations on various labor issues since 2008:
TRAINING OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS – In July 2023, our law office provided a 2-day training seminar for the specialists of the State Health and Employment Inspection Body on the substantive law grounds of the Labor Code, in particular, concerning grievance procedures instituted for violations of work shifts, salaries, work conditions, recruitment and termination grounds.
EWORLD ENTERTINMENT LLC. – our law office reviewed the work contracts, drafted sample employment, reviewed of the work roasters and the timetables of employees, reviewed and designed sample termination procedures, orders and forms.
ARTIST AGREEMENTS – our office was retained by artists to consult and draft legal contracts between them and production companies or producers. We drafted artists agreements for such well-known local artists as composer Ara Gevorgyan, singer Lilit Hovhannisyan and singer and actor Mihran Tsarukyan, film producer Armen Ronov, .
STATE THEATER OF CHOREOGRAPHY – We consulted the theater employees and the management on the procedures and grounds of termination of work contract and eviction from work space. Our lawyers represented the employees of the theater in the court proceedings against the government as a class action brought by 18 employees.
NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF ARMENIA – We provided expertise and consulting to the National Assembly concerning public ethics and work ethics of the MPs and the staff of the parliament, including on the procedures and grounds for disciplinary liability of employees for violation of employment regulations. Our lawyers proposed changes to be made in the Constitutional Regulation-Law of the National Assembly. Finally, our experts drafted internal regulations and procedures for disciplinary proceedings.
GAS SOUZAN LLC. - this gas equipment importation and exportation company based in Armenia and acting as the exclusive distributor of the GAS SOUZAN Ind.&Manu.Co. of Iran retained the services of our law office to consult them on broad range of employment, labor, contract and commercial law matters from 2017 to 2020
DINO GOLD MINING LLC. – a mining company operating in Kapan,
Armenia with the capacity of over 2000 employees. Our law office was hired from
2008 to 2010 to review the company’s employment contracts, consult and handle employment
related disputes, examine and improve the internal employment and disciplinary regulations.
EMPLOYMENT DISPUTES BY FORMER JUSTICES – Our office has represented former judges, who were terminated on discriminatory basis, in employment proceedings in the administrative and civil courts of Armenia, as well as in the European Court of Human Rights. Two former justices, Ms. Anahit Saghatelyan and Mr. Samvel Mnatsakanyan, won the proceedings in the European Court. They were represented in this court by attorney Ara Ghazaryan. The following are the references to the judgments in the case of Saghatelyan v. Armenia and Mnatsakanyan v. Armenia on the court’s Hudoc platform. A group of applications lodged on behalf of other judges, still pursuing their claims for unlawful termination from office, is still pending in the European Court.
FINLEX – FINANCIAL and LEGAL CONSULTING LLC – we were hired to train the experts and legal officers of this auditing and consulting company on various matters of administrative law arising out of employment related disputes between private entities and government labor inspection bodies.
TEAM ENERGY LLC – a mining and exploration company engaged in exploration of gas and oil in the Ararat valley of Armenia. Our office was hired to consult the company on labor court disputes, employment contracts, designing of shift scheduling map and on hiring and termination procedures.
SiDSHiN LLC – A house construction company based in Vayots Dzor region of Armenia, with a branch office in the capital Yerevan and Moscow, Russian Federation, which hired our law office to represent the company in the civil courts of Armenia against employment and physical injury lawsuits from 2012 to 2016.
BARKHUDARYAN, GAGIK – the law office was hired to represent Mr. Barkhudaryan against the US Department of State in the dispute involving a personal injury caused by the driver of the US Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia. The proceedings was concluded by a settlement agreement betweeen the client and the US government by which Mr. Barkhudaryan received a monetary compensation for the damage caused to the health of the client.
