We have extensive experience in dealing with cases of wrongful removal of childen from their habitual states under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction of 1980. Since 2007 when Armenia joined this international convention, our attorneys have litigated a number of cases in Armenia and in the foreign states. Our attorney have dealt with cases originating from the United States, Russia, Germany, Portugal, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Greece, Georgia, UK and Belarus and we have successful records of return of unlawfully removed children to Armenia, Russia and France. We also have a pending case with the international tribunal which has been communicated to the government of Armenia as a respondent state. In addition, given that child removal is a relatively new sphere of law in the legal order of Armenia, our attorneys have delivered training seminars on the Hague Convention mechanisms for judges of civil courts in the Justice Academy and for attorneys on the same subject in the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia.
